PATS Online Distance Calculator

Use the PATS (Patient Assistance Transport Scheme) online calculator to accurately determine the distance you travel from your permanent residence to medical specialist services.

The distance you travel determines your eligibility for PATS. Your subsidy amount will be shown by the calculator when both the residence and destination fields have been entered.

You can measure distances yourself or ask your local PATS officer or GP practice nurse to use the online calculator for you.

The PATS online calculator uses Google Mapping Software to accurately measure the shortest and most direct land route from your residence to your destination, using:

  • your permanent residential address
  • the actual treatment location

The web-based technology automatically updates to match changing road infrastructure.

You can recreate the route calculated by the PATS online calculator on your computer, phone or handheld devices.
