What is a third party provider?

A patient may nominate to have all or part of their subsidy paid to a third party provider, which may include:

  • accommodation provider
  • non-for profit organisation
  • registered charity
  • tertiary hospital.

It is the responsibility of the client and the organisation to manage this agreement. If the travel or accommodation is ineligible for subsidy, it is the responsibility of the third party to follow up on any unpaid accounts.
