From 1 July 2026, the PATS fuel subsidy rate will increase slightly — from $0.336 per kilometre to $0.344 per kilometre — for eligible travel to medical specialist appointments.
This change will apply to travel on or after 1 July 2026.
We understand that every bit helps when you’re travelling long distances to access the care you need.
PATS supports regional and rural South Australians who need to travel more than 100 km each way for medical specialist services not available locally.
